About Me
In April 1991, my son Adam (age 5) and I embarked on a lifelong journey to hike the Appalachian Trail, from Springer Mountain to Mt. Katahdin. On August 9, 2009 we completed our journey - 18 years, 39 trips, 2,175 miles (give or take a couple). We praise God for His faithfulness through the years. Even more amazing is that when we finished our hike on 8/9/09, 2 hikes were actually completed. You see, my son started his own thru-hike on 3/1/09, and 5 months later, met me in Monson, ME, at the exact spot we had finished the prior year, and we completed the 118 miles of our final journey, and the last 118 miles of his thru-hike at the same time....God is good!
